ID Photo Studio privacy policy

This policy explains how ID Photo Studio, an Android app from AppCrazy Labs, handles information when you prepare a photo, use optional ads or purchases, or contact us. In this policy, “we” means Sidhanshu Udawat, the app’s developer. The app is currently in Google Play internal testing; availability depends on the Play track and region.

1. Photos and device access

You can take a photo with the camera or choose one through your device’s photo picker. The app asks for camera access when you use the camera. You can manage camera permission in Android settings. The photo picker gives the app access to the photo you select; it does not require access to your entire gallery.

The app keeps a local original and a separate working copy while you frame, crop or optionally edit the background. It also keeps local previews and generated results for your project. These operations run on the device. We do not upload photo contents to AppCrazy Labs servers or send them to AdMob or RevenueCat. Do not assume that a photo’s metadata has been stripped from every copy or export.

2. Projects, exports and sharing

Projects, including format choices, edits and local export history, are saved in app storage on your device. You can export an individual JPEG or PNG photo or a PDF or JPEG print sheet. The app creates the result locally. You choose whether to save it to a folder or share it.

Saving creates a separate copy in the folder you select. Sharing sends a copy through Android’s share flow to the app or person you choose; the receiving app’s privacy practices then apply. Deleting a project does not delete copies already saved outside app storage, shared with others or included in a device backup.

3. Optional rewarded ads

You may choose to watch a rewarded ad to unlock one additional individual-photo export. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. The app checks applicable consent choices before requesting an ad and provides an ad privacy-options entry point when Google’s consent tools require it. You can also use Android’s advertising controls. We have not verified every regional consent configuration.

Even for a non-personalised ad request, Google’s ads service may process an IP address, device or advertising identifiers, app and ad interactions, diagnostic information, and an approximate location inferred from IP. Google and its partners use this information for ad delivery, measurement, security and fraud prevention; processing depends on your settings, location and consent. The ad service does not receive your photos from the app. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Google’s explanation of data from partner apps.

4. Lifetime Pro purchases

Lifetime Pro is an optional one-time purchase processed by Google Play. RevenueCat checks the purchase and manages Pro entitlements and eligible restores. ID Photo Studio does not ask you to create a user account, but RevenueCat assigns an anonymous technical app user identifier for its customer record.

Google Play and RevenueCat process purchase-related information such as product and transaction identifiers, purchase tokens or receipts, status and entitlement history. App, device, locale or currency context may accompany those requests. We and RevenueCat do not receive your full payment card details from Google Play. RevenueCat does not receive your photos. Read RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy and Google’s Privacy Policy.

5. Support messages

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and anything you attach. We and our email provider use that information to reply and investigate the issue. Sending a photo to support is your choice and is separate from normal local photo processing. Please avoid sending sensitive photos, identity documents or payment card details.

6. Your choices and rights

You choose which photos to import or take, which results to save or share, whether to watch an ad and whether to buy Pro. You can manage camera permission, app storage and available ad identifiers through Android. The app’s ad privacy-options entry point lets you revisit choices when those options are required and available.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information held by us, request a copy, object to or restrict processing, or withdraw consent. Contact udawat.sidhanshu@gmail.com with a request. We may ask for limited information to locate or verify a record. We cannot access photos stored only on your device. You may also contact your local data protection authority where that right applies.

7. Retention and deletion

  • Local projects and files: remain on your device until you delete a project, clear app storage or uninstall. Deleting a project removes its app-managed files when they are not needed by another project. The app also offers cleanup for unused local files. Separately saved exports, shared copies and backups must be deleted where they are stored.
  • Free exports and ad rewards: the app keeps their credit state locally. Clearing app data or reinstalling can reset that state.
  • Purchases: RevenueCat and Google retain purchase and entitlement data as needed for access, restoration, security, disputes and applicable legal duties. Uninstalling does not erase those records.
  • Ads: Google and its partners retain ad-related data under their own policies and controls.
  • Support: we keep correspondence for the request and necessary follow-up, or longer where a dispute or legal duty requires it.

These categories do not all have one fixed retention period. For data we control, we can explain the relevant duration or criteria when you ask. Deleting a RevenueCat record may affect purchase recognition or restoration and does not delete Google Play’s transaction history or issue a refund. See the ID Photo Studio data-deletion instructions →

8. Security and processing locations

Keeping photos on the device limits who receives their contents, but the safety of files saved or shared elsewhere depends on that destination and your device settings. AdMob, RevenueCat, Google Play and our email provider may process their information in other countries, including the United States. Their policies explain their safeguards. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.

9. Children’s privacy

ID Photo Studio is a general-purpose document-photo tool, not an app specifically directed at children under 13. A parent or guardian may prepare a child’s photo locally, but should review any use of sharing, ads or purchases. We do not knowingly collect a child’s information through support; if you believe one was sent to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the app or its services change. We will publish the revised policy here with a new date and provide further notice or consent where required. For privacy, support or deletion questions, email udawat.sidhanshu@gmail.com. You can also use the website contact section.
